I created a free service that allows you to create a custom QR for your public crypto address supported in the Ledger Live App. This will enable you to receive instant payments to your address. This unique QR has a nice border & also displays the crypto logo which makes it easier to identify what type of crypto asset, address or text is embeded the QR code This project is still ongoing and I am open to your suggestions.

Not necessarily. Text/characters can also be inputed in the field as this creates a static QR. The field box is limted to a certain amount of characters though (eg max length=42).
