Wallet question.

Wed Jul 25, 2018 8:33 pm

Hi everyone. Newbie
What happens when I buy small amounts and put them in the wallet. Do the combine or do they stay as separate purchases and amounts?
for example

today 0.001
tomorrow 0.002

In my wallet will it be 0.003 or two different keys.

Thanks

Are you using a Bitcoin.com wallet?

The combined balances of all address within a particular wallet make up the balance of that wallet. However, the 2 amounts do not form into a new amount single (think of a wallet for paper money, if you have a 5 dollar bill and a 1 dollar bill they do not form a 6 dollar bill but they do make up the balance of your wallet and you can spend them together).

Please also note that the funds might all be at one address, or they could be a two addresses (depends on whether or not you used the same address or a new address generated within the wallet. Even if the same address was used the two amounts do not form into a new amount (in the sense described above).

Please let us know if you need additional help.

I just now came across this topic. Thanks so much for clearing that up, I was wondering the same thing! Great explanation, that comparison helped me a lot to understand the wallets better.
