My understanding on the subject is somewhat limited but I don't think smart contracts will help user B guarantee that payment is received from user A, only escrow can offer that type of guarantee.

The smart contract will be useful if user A does not receive what was advertised or defective and user A wants to take the matter to court.

Another member could probably explain these contracts better for you.

If you are in a situation similar to the one described in the OP then it would probably be a better idea to use a mutually trusted escrow agent who can hold the funds and ask for clarifying documentation/evidence in the event there is a dispute in a transaction.

My understanding of a smart contract would be that they work best for things that are cryptographically verifiable and that do not require any amount of judgment.
Have fun, send me a tip 136djiDtVHKq8KLnJQnCRJL2TydpGgnyyT
