BCH to BTC

I sent money to my bitcoin wallet on the BCH wallet. I didn’t realize when I sent the money to the wallet on the website I’m trying to use that it was a BTC wallet. I It says the transaction went throw but it doesn’t show up on the website? Is this a problem and how do I go about getting my money back if so?
