What’s Replacing Passwords?

How many times have you forgotten a password and then had to go through the ordeal of having to reset it? It’s a very annoying reality in our digital lives. It can get really frustrating, especially when, for whatever reason, a password cannot be recovered and we end up losing access to some email account or social network page that once contained some kind of information that was important to us. Passwords are supposed to be there to protect us, but as we are using more and more services that require them, it is hard to keep track of them all and they often aren’t even all that effective in keeping things safe anyway. Times are changing and so are ways to protect our data.

One survey conducted by Intel Security shows that the average person has 27 discrete online logins. The study also found out that 37% of people forget a password no less than once a week.

New security infrastructures look to be the solution of the future. Businesses can invest in technology that requires more adequate identity measures like a behavioral input system that evaluates what the user is doing to see if its normal activity or not. Of course, even this might end up being a hassle for users. Imagine all the times you have had to authorize the use of a new device that is yours but the system you are using doesn’t know you even have.

Some other alternatives are two-factor authentication which asks for two forms of the same kind of information, using USB devices as physical keys, and even using biometrics. Webcam snapshots are one thing, but let’s just hope our computer doesn’t end up requiring a blood sample to, say, send an email. Of course, there’s also voice recognition that is used as a biometric tool. Several banks have decided to use this method. It sounds very interesting, but what happens if you come down with a bad cold or laryngitis?

Security solutions are at the forefront of effective planning. This is something that MEMORITY understands and is providing one-of-a-kind security in its cloud storage system enhanced with SIZE technology.
Blockchain-based data storage ecosystem

Memority's mission is to create a self-sufficient ecosystem that includes a variety of applications to meet the needs of businesses, government organizations and individuals in ultra-secure storage of all types of valuable data.

The Memority API allows third-party developers to create desktop and online apps for decentralized encrypted storage of various types of data without a lengthy investigation into technical details of the blockchain technology. Developers of such applications are rewarded with part of all data storage payments for files that were uploaded with their apps.

I read about its ico project on ICO Pulse source. The rating is really impressive. I very like the platform idea. Access to the content of the data is possible only with the help of this private key. So it uses the same data protection technology as crypto wallets.
