The Open Bank project is an open source API and App store for banks that empowers financial institutions to securely and rapidly enhance their digital offerings using an ecosystem of 3rd party applications and services.

Emirates NBD Group and the Open Bank Project have launched a global competition for financial technology start-ups!
Participants will present their solutions to challenges in the finance and banking covering various areas :
-Customer Acquistion & On-Boarding
-Loyalty & Engagement
-SME Banking
-Blockchain and the Internet of Things
-Islamic Banking

Start-ups are encouraged to address these challenges leveraging:
BIOMETRICS, APIS, BLOCKCHAIN, MOBILE WALLETS/PAYMENTS, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND SOCIAL MEDIA BANKING.
in conjunction with new and emerging business and engagement models.

Open Bank Project meet up launched this competition officially in Berlin Germany.
We discussed the global challenges Fintech Start ups are facing , the role of Bitcoins , Blockchain , and Digital currencies in bringing up solutions.
The innovation road show continues and will include Singapore , New York, Dubai , and Paris.
It was a pleasure to meet the founders of Open Bank Project , and top innovators in the Berlin fin-tech scene !
