Hi, I'm just curious how you prove legitimacy? Do you provide the gift card number first so the buyer can verify on the business' website?

Yes of course, once purchased or in escrow I forward all details to the buyer. He can verify everything is 100% kosher .

Sorry I do not have Amazon. And I would rather use no escrow or have escrow released within 24 hours. I shouldn't have to wait a few days to get my money, wouldn't be fair mate.

Escrow is a protection of the buyer at the expense of an inconvenience to the seller. There is also a small monetary expense.

It prevents fraudulent sellers from using a fake creditcard to buy gift cards, and sell these before the charge gets reversed and the gift card cancelled. Only when an item is shipped and in your hands do you know with certainty that the deal was honest.

Yes escrow can be annoying but its there to protect the buyer. It's a fair request in my opinion but one that you as a seller could refuse at any time, of course!!

Ah, I am not talking about holding a gift card in my hand - I am talking about USING the gift card the moment you get it and having the item in your hand. If I have a $50 amazon order, (and if you would sell amazon cards), I would use that card the moment you gave it to me and immediately ship the item. That cannot be reversed and then I know the card was good! Then you'd be 100% certain you could release the escrow.

You could be more flexible after a few trades have gone smoothly, of course.

Why don't you let us know what cards you have? Maybe there is something else that you sell that I could use.

Although I have no proof I would warn anyone that this does not look good.

Reading through the thread the user is not exactly open to using escrow.

These cards may have also been purchased using stolen credit cards so I would not encourage anyone to buy any.

I am not accusing the OP of anything, it just that there is a lot of carded gift cards being sold these days.
