the hacker seemed to have cloned my sim card to access my Telegram account
(seems to be very popular out thee - check google)
with access to my account,
he took over all our groups, kicked all other admins , so he is in full control of all groups now
so far nothing is happening
except he is spamming now all groups (and other groups i was in)
offering my account and groups for sale !

He pm'ed me on DashForum asking for 0.2 BTC as payment and threatens to put the details up for auction on the DarkNet !
So be it tbh - we will not be blackmailed !
no worries - we let this run cold - and start fresh with new groups after on Telegram .

I / we have been blackmailed before , back then it was about our YouTube account
and i proceeded the same way
Started new YouTube channel back then and did not pay !

the incident is reported in detail (with follow ups) to telegram
lets see if they will ever reply and sort this out (been 2 days)

As a general OpSec i suggest:
- use burned phone (for telegram)
- use 2FA

How could hack a telegram admins? Cloning a phone number sounds a little crazy! I heard that you can copy the session carts, if that were the case then it turns out someone from the admins has been infected! But that's just my guess, nothing more.
