DECENT is a Decentralized Content Distribution Platform that is Open-Source and utilizes Blockchain to ensure Security, Efficiency, Cost-effectiveness, Trust and Transparency. Our intention is to revolutionize Data Distribution on the Internet and to develop a decentralized, anonymous and secure network for content publishing, where authors can monetize their content.
DECENT is an autonomous Type I Decentralized Application (Dapp) enabling digital content publishing. It has its own independent blockchain, which is a public distributed ledger of all the transactions that will occur since the genesis block (beginning of the use of DECENT protocol).
DECENT has 3 functional roles:
• Authors: content makers, writers, music producers, …
• Consumers: readers, listeners, …
• Publishers: miners
