Users from the Bitcoin Venezuela's Facebook group, with over 6000 members, are reporting blocks on major Bitcoin websites, including the two exchanges that operate locally.

The ISP is CANTV, managed by the institution CONATEL, and is very well known by their blockades to any website that doesn't follow the Government's endless rules or are suspected to be supporting any kind of opposition against the Socialist government.

It doesn't look like Bitcoin.com made the list yet.
Something to aspire towards I suppose.

It is on the long list of "to do" things.

Here is a current short list of some ideas I would like to see implemented in the near future:

markets.bitcoin.com
Here are some examples we can draw from for inspiration:
http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/
https://bitcoinity.org/markets
https://markets.blockchain.info/
http://bitcointicker.co/

Charts.bitcoin.com
More examples for inspiration:
https://blockchain.info/charts
http://bitcoin.sipa.be/

IRC.bitcoin.com
I think a lot of people may like to have an IRC channel to chat about things with other people in real time.
We could add a web portal, so normal webs surfers can chat with others live on the website.

Name.bitcoin.com / ID.bitcoin.com
Perhaps we will partner with someone like https://www.netki.com/ in the future to help provide human readable wallet IDs.

some things that are already in the works:

wiki.bitcoin.com
is almost ready.
You can see the dev site here:

forum.bitcoin.com is under active development.
If you have experience with PHPBB or are interested anyhow, I can connect you with the others.
Either way, everyone should make an account, and start brain storming with others on what we can do.

news.bitcoin.com
If you have additional ideas on how to improve this, I am all ears.

Maybe all of the above deserves its own thread.

The way to defeat these problems is to develop meshnets. I personally think cjdns is the best tech available today. I would love to see a real union with Hyperboria (cjdns) and bitcoin (all cryptos). Actually, I hope to spend a lot of time this winter working on just that.
