Bitcoin Capital Thoughts? (From Max Keiser and Simon Dixon)

Wed Jan 20, 2016 6:04 am

Hey Guys,

I just came across something this week that I hadn't seen before, and was wondering if anyone had any experience, or thought, with doing these in the past.

It seems like this is the third one they've done. According to them, it sounds like the first 2 have been successful, so far. I realize that these are intended to be high-risk investments, but I just wanted to start a discussion and see what other people think about this.

The last tranche seems to have invested in the likes of BitReserve (now Uphold), and ShapeShift, both of which I am a fan of. They also seem to invest in bitcoin mining operations to pay a 'daily dividend' to investors with 1/3 of the invested money.

It seems like Max and Simon get to own 50% of the fund without putting up any funds themselves (of course, they spend their time managing and investing the funds), which seems a little lopsided. I suppose the theory is that if they do well, and "venture capital" type asymmetrical returns are achieved, that you'll still see good returns.

Here's some more on the site, and a video from Simon Dixon: https://www.bnktothefuture.com/about

Anyone else have thoughts on these?
