Transfer bitcoin cash from old bitcoin paper wallet

Hi,

Can you tell me if I can transfer bitcoin cash from an old bitcoin paper wallet that doesn't have a QR code(only the private code) into a new Bitcoin.com bitcoin cash wallet using the Bitcoin.com web site? And if yes, the specific steps to accomplish this task(I am very non technical).

Hi Greg,

You could use https://tools.bitcoin.com/paper-wallet/

Click on Wallet Details on that page and then enter your Bitcoin Cash private key to create QR code.

Alternatively you can download (bottom of page) the zip file and then (after you extract) run the standalone offline in your browser.

After you have the QR code you may sweep your Bitcoin Cash into a Bitcoin.com wallet (the wallet supports both BTC and BCH) by tapping on Scan on the bottom of Bitcoin.com wallet application.

To confirm... I can enter a pre August 2017 bitcoin address into the Enter Private Key box in Wallet Details and it will create a bitcoin cash (not bitcoin) QR code. And once I have the QR code how do I enter that into the wallet you recommended?

Sorry, should read Bitcoin Cash NOT Bitcoin... The whole effort is to retrieve Bitcoin Cash from an old Bitcoin wallet

first you need to transfer all your coins from the old wallet, then import the key into electroncash.
