ill try to explain couple basic things that you need to know,i didnt have this and my start was quite hard

so in short version bitcoin is virtual currency witch have its value in $ (at time of this post 1 bitcoin is 389.00$)
so with bitcoin you can buy some stuff you want,sell it for your own currency,gamble,send it to your family basicly there is no limit what you can't do with it that is why it is so great.
so lets start with how can you earn some bitcoins:
everyone have their skills so you can work for someone and they pay you for your job.
you can get some btc in giveaways (witch are quite often)
or you can buy them at some sites like localbitcoins,coinbase this are just 2 sites that i use and i know that they are trusted.
2nd step you need to know.
This are normal humans so dont Think that everyone are nice,generous and willing to help you
i recommend you that you be carefull with making transactions with people who have no reputation becuse there is people who will try to scam you even for 10 cents.
Do not trust in doubling your money becuse that stuff is 99,99% Scam,Ponzi is some kind of scam too,so better stay away from people who will offer you to double your btc and sites that promise you % of earnings in couple days.
And lately i have seen alot of threads that are created by new people and they "made" bot,script,money generator, etc. i recommend you that you dont download that stuff becuse its some malware or virus that is there to steal your bitcoins if you download it.

where do you keep your bitcoins?
well you can download a wallet or you can use blockchain.info wallet.
4th step.
how do you send/recieve bitcoins.?
well when you make a wallet on blockchain.info you will get your wallet address witch will look something like this it will just have diffrent numbers/letters

and every wallet have its own address where you can send or someone can send you bitcoins,so if you want to send bitcoins to some address (ill use mine here just as example)
so lets say you want to send 0.05 bitcoins to your friend and his address is 1638uAssqGuBKCYpzdByjrvWuYHNC2xmhc (this one is mine)
you go to blockchain you login to your wallet and do this http://prntscr.com/8zi7dp you click send payment and your 0.05 will be sent to your friend address and he will recieve it instantly.
