So do you have an answer to:

"Is the Bitcoin network still vulnerable to the use of a large block in a DoS-attack?"

I didn't see an answer in the article unless I overlooked it.

really? what i can see though several online referendum there was always a majortiy in favor of 2 MB blocks (or more)

I'm proud to admit that I really don't know. It is very much outside my area of expertise. I vaguely remember that Satoshi complained about Vulnerabilities to DoS very very frequently. Then again, hardware alone has improved a great deal since 2010.

I really don't know. But such a starting point is miles above this, sort-of, "picking numbers out of a hat" thing that we're doing now.

Thank you! The people are in tribes, the arguments are in camps. I am going to edit this word because it was a mistake on my part...

It's very surprising to me, as well. Recently, I've only been, in person, to the two Scaling Bitcoin conferences. People would vaguely avoid talking about their beliefs in public, but for the 15-20 people whose beliefs I could reasonably assess, most were "stay at 1 MB and wait". I think I should clarify this because I've implied that they are in a huge minority whereas I think they are only in a normal minority.
