tldr; guys made GUI miner that checks your HW and chooses best algos to mine and exchange to BTC.

You can no longer profitably mine bitcoin using a regular CPU or GPU. You need a state of the art ASIC, you need cheap electricity and you need cheap and efficient cooling.

But I like the idea of mining altcoins and exchanging them to bitcoin. However I cannot understand where most altcoins get their value from. It appears to me that speculators buy them in the hopes of selling them at a profit but this just means that there are so called bag holders left.

Especially if miners mining the altcoin really do not want it who are selling to buyers that do not want to own it.

Ehm, after seeing the screenshot of his 4-5 miners he had there mining at 0.0025 btc /day made me sort of sad.

I have 2x r9 290s and I'm mining ethereum with their 75% gpu usage algo and some times expanse which is their first or second altcoin of that algo. I'd suggest people to give it a try, with the 2 gpu's i'm getting a steady 0.005 btc per day and if you just wait for the right moments to sell instead of selling it all off immediately, you may profit even more. (expanse went up by 600-700% the other day out of the blue and I sold at 9000 satoshis) This is just a suggestion, the miner isn't hard to set up.

of course you can tweak it etc but its good for noobs
