Do you use comparebitcoins.net?

Mon Dec 14, 2015 9:17 am

Would you trust comparebitcoins.net with your personal information?

I have just had a look over the website: http://comparebitcoins.net/ and I must say they have some strange ways at that company.

They don't seem to like bitcoin ATM's for the reasons as show in the quote below:

'No Linking To Completely Anonymous Bitcoin ATM Services' Policy Note
There is a strong personal drug taking/minimal drug cultural responsibilities scene within online bitcoin communities.

Due to the above attitude within the online bitcoin community... completely anonymous bitcoin ATM services will not have their link clickable (or their price displayed) on CompareBitcoins.
Completely anonymous ATMs have a high probability* of;

attracting frequent drug users which partly supports crime and terror funding,
not being able to catch/trace/hold accountable users connected with transactions in the above point, and
causing 'high-cost negative cultural impacts' in the short and long term for digital commerce, online in general, and in the offline world (real life).
* = much higher than exchanges that, for example, check ID's.
Why are they making this their business when they don't have to. Not even KYC or AML laws go this far.

It get's weirder when you have a read of the terms and conditions:
I will not fund crime networks or terrorism by buying drugs with bitcoin*: I acknowledge that bitcoin addresses are forever, CompareBitcoin's 'send addresses' are publicly traceable, VPNs/Tor can be tracked with Javascript, and dealers/terrorists will 'sell out' their customers if it means less prison time.
It then goes on to ask:
I acknowledge that I cannot use this service to pay ransom demands (ransomware), and if I try I will be reported for participating in/funding fraud*: As one victim who had his child threatened put it: "Once you pay once they'll want you to pay twice. It's nasty."
I don't purchase anything illicit with my coins so I don't care about that side of things but I wouldn't trust buying my coins their. Sounds like your personal info would be sent straight to the feds.

I don't think they are really much of an exchange since you can only purchase between $2-$30 worth of btc.

Does anyone know more about this Australian company (exchange)?

Probably not worth the trouble. You may have better luck with LocalBitcoins or Mycelium Trader.

Is everything okay with you Bitkilo?

I only ask because you were not able to fulfil my request (you didn't quote my first condition in your edit).

How much sleep are you getting (do you have a regular sleep routine) and are you eating 3 meals a day?

If anyone else is having trouble with motivation or things are getting in the way of their work or hobbies then you can see your local GP. I think it is free if they are a bulk billed clinic, and they might even be able to offer techniques or tips without being referred to someone else.
Are you serious? Why would you ask such quesyions?

I missed 1 of your request and your questioning my mental health.

For what its worth I am a very busy man.
I work fulltime everyday 10+hrs then I have my job here to do that can take up a a few hours each night.
So I sleep about 5hrs a night, what's your point?

What would you like me to do now?

6/10 effort. If you're only going to do part of what I requested in my first post, and not answer if you are okay in my second post, then goodbye and good luck.
Do you always expect to get everything you request in this world?

If you own or work for comparebitcoins then tell us your side.

Funny thing is i never said anything bad about this site, just said they have some different thinking going on.
I still don't understand your objective here!
