How signing message works ?

Hi! Please how signing message works ? How receiver know, that i own private key of that address ? Thx for answers

In order to sign a message from a particular address, the signor must have the private key.
To give you an idea in order to send an email from an email address you need the password to that email account; although email and bitcoin are very different, it is slightly similar.

As long as the address is signed properly and it verifies on the blockchain you can be 100% sure that the person that signed the address also has control of the private key to that particular address.

Thanks guys, but can you tell me how EXACTLY signing works ? If it uses hashing and more. Please I am very curious at this.

Btw signed messages are included in blockchain ? If i did understand from reply from bitkilo.

The bitcoin address is a hash of the public key. The public and private keys are a matched set, when you sign a bitcoin address you are running the public and private keys through an algorithm that checks to see if those keys belong together.
