Accidental BTC transfer to BCH wallet

Sat Dec 23, 2017 8:53 pm

So yeah
I accidentally transfered BTC to my BCH wallet in the bitcoin.com app. I tried the solution from the FAQ, but it is not working. When writing the backup phrase i'm told it's invalid .
Is there any other method to retrieve the BTC
Hope someone can help

Hi Hawk,

If you've already tried https://walletsupport.bitcoin.com/artic ... bch-wallet

then please try the following:

1) Go to Settings > [Select your BTC wallet]

2) Tap on "More Options"

4) Tap the "+" to the right of "Unused Addresses". Please do this repeatedly until unable to generate more addresses

5) Tap on "View All Addresses"

You will now be able to see all of the BTC wallet addresses associated with your wallet below. The addresses with an amount in green shows the amount that is available to spend in that particular address.

I hope you solve this. The bitcoin.com app is really good but one of the bad things is that it has the BCH wallet when you click on receive, that may confuse some people. Remember to check twice in what wallet you are receiving.

Unless you accidentally sent to some other address (i.e., a BTC/BCH address which was never in your wallet) I don't see how they are lost.

Can you get the private key for the address?

If so... you'll be fine.

I've never used Bitcoin.com's wallet.
