Bitcoin not sent to wallet?

Hello,
I recently made my first investment into the world of Bitcoin and downloaded the wallet app and bought around a hundred USD worth of Bitcoin 9 days ago and I still don't have the Bitcoin in my wallet. I entered the wallet ID I was given but I don't know who to talk to. Is Bitcoin supposed to take this long to send to your wallet or did an error occur? Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: When I click on my wallet ID it shoes me that my funds are currently in the wallet. Any insight as to why it wont show me in the app?
