Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

I joined this company back when it was first getting started. I was under the assumption that when I purchased my lifetime contracts, that I would be PAID proportionately to the growth of the company and the price of BITCOIN. But as the price of Bitcoin skyrocketed, my paycheck never really grew in proportion to what the company was ACTUALLY making... We SHOULD BE paid in terms of BITCOIN, NOT USD (US dollars). We are NOT getting what we paid for. I am terribly unhappy with the "Switch and Bait" tactics... As if the company hasn't profited enough to pay us Loyal/Trusting customers who were there from the beginning... At Least pay everyone, who in the beginning, had enough Faith in the company to purchase a "LIFETIME" contract, get paid FAIR profits... I'm POSITIVE that there Aren't even that many "LIFETIME" contracts in exisistance, compared to the amount of profit the company really makes anyways... GIVE US A BREAK... :?
It seems like you thought the payouts would be consistent (in BTC or USD) through the life of the contract, and your post gives me the impression that you don't understand the basics of mining enough to be in the business of purchasing mining contracts at all. The pool is paying unfairly because they aren't paying all of the BTC fees and that has nothing to do with how we are paid (in terms of btc/USD). We are paid in terms of how much BTC/BCH the hashrate is generating (minus pool fees, maintenance fees and now a lot of the BTC fees) and the revenue generated changes based on the total Bitcoin network hashrate that is steadily rising (and thus reducing the profits in BTC that can be made with the same hashrate). They are paying fairly, by their own rules/block rewards it's just not fair compared to other pools that pay all (or most) of the BTC fees. Do more research before you ever invest in something like this in the future and if you're interested about what I was saying about the BTC fees read my posts on the last page here: pools/bitcoin-com-mining-pool-official- ... -1140.html

"Contract will end if daily fee exceeds revenue for 60 consecutive days."
what if a market crash causes the pool to generate losses for a period of time, would i be able to keep the contract if i choose to? (hoping the market recovers)
What is the purpose of this policy is what i am wondering, just wanna be clear.. Thank you in advance.
Somewhere previously in the thread there seemed to be some explanation to the effect that that provision is in there to basically protect the users--ie, to make it clear that a user will not end up incurring a liability to the pool that can't be met from the user's profits. My opinion is that overall this point needn't to concern you too much, but I recommend keep doing your research on other points (including by reading the entirety of this thread) before committing to a purchase.

http://nordic.businessinsider.com/the-s ... useless--/

Emil, the top person responsible for this pool, had this to say to a magazine (on December 18, 2017):
Bitcoin.com operates in everything that has to do with bitcoins. Today, the site – based out of Tokyo but registered on S:t Kitts – has tens of millions of unique monthly visitors, according to Similarweb, a web analytics site. The company's biggest single revenue stream is its so called bitcoin “mining pool”, where it forges new units of the cryptocurrency to be released on the markets.
Oldenburg doesn’t want to disclose revenues, but reaveals to Breakit “it's an awful lot of money."
Unclear whether something was lost in translation (the interview might have been done in Swedish), or perhaps his response about 'the company's revenues' was referring to the pool's profits as a whole rather than just the admin profits (the interviewer was surely asking about the latter). Given a less generous reading, however, It doesn't play well amidst the points made by KableK. Looking forward to a clarification (...once the team gets back from what I presume is a string of well-deserved holidays for everyone (Zowki has been silent on the board for a while and Roger did an interview the other day from Saint Kitts)).

(Good work promoting Bitcoin Cash though, Roger and Emil!)

Profit calculator returns significantly lower income today than yesterday per Th/s, why is that? Bonus remains at 10% and difficulty hasn't changed.

BTC network fees at 35%, higher than ever for the last month.

You pay 10%.

Conclusion : true Bitcoin.com pool fees are 22% for BTC mining, MUCH MORE than competitors… :)

BTW, no more hashrate available for cloud contracts while plenty where available yesterday. New +50% price increase incoming ?

What's up with the BCH payout? About half less in two days !!! The bitcoin price drops and the BCH goes up. So shorten the payouts right away. It's more profitable in dollars and BCH has more in it for you ... it's just scam !!!

All mining plans now Waiting List only

Wed Dec 20, 2017 6:46 pm

Hi guys, I noticed that between yesterday and today, all the remaining plans went out of stock. I have a question:

I have a contract pending in my dashboards (11 TH/s), and my money on the way to Hong Kong. Will you still honor this contract? I ordered it before it went out of stock.

If you don't honor it: Will you send me back my money?

Thank you for a very quick reply!

It's called difficulty adjustment and it's normal. If you bought a contract recently then yes, sorry, but it will never be profitable at all as they are way too expensive… They are priced so that you'll have to spend more coins than what will be produced.
You can check difficulty there : https://fork.lol/pow/difficulty

This pool has became quite dishonest and looks like more and more a scam. You'll probably get this kind of bullshit if you get an official answer : «bla bla bla mitigate risk bla bla bla USD profitable bla bla bla lowest fees of all». Truth is, they just want to take your coins. They make you believe you'll be richer as you'll get more USD at the end of the contract than the USD paid for it, but in fact it'll definitely be less than if you just hold your coins and stay away from cloud mining… :) Best part is, once trapped in, you can't move and they can (and already did !) change the rules : increase pool fees, keep mining fees for them, and so on. Forget to be even.

Roger Ver,

Current revenue: 0.000 147 67 BTC ($2.29) / 0.000 879 06 BCH ($2.98) http://prntscr.com/hqrr74

At the same time https://cash.coin.dance/blocks It is currently 18.7% more profitable to mine on the original chain http://prntscr.com/hqrrdi

Or https://fork.lol/ BTC is 1,32x BCH is 1.00 http://prntscr.com/hqrrx5

May be now, then you have a lot of resources after BCH pump, so you can update cloud mining rules in our favor as well?

Bingo ! New price increase :
- 649$ (or 46,3 mBTC) for 1 year, instead of 449$ (+45%, +217% in 2 weeks)
- 899$ (or 64,2 mBTC) for lifetime, instead of 599 (+50%, +225% in 2 weeks).

Same time, mining fees for BTC are at 45%, but we only have 10%. That's so fair…

BTW, if someone want to buy my lifetime contracts, I'm open.

I too have been showing a disconnected worker with a hashrate of 0. It was fine until about an hour or so ago. Does anyone know what's going on?

EDIT:
And now my workers are gone, not connecting at all. I was connected to the auto-profit pool, is anyone connected to the single coin pools and experiencing this?

It looks like all of their servers are down. I'll be switching to AntPool for the time being. It's a shame because I'd really rather not give bitmain more power over bitcoin and BCH than it already has, but business is business.

Guys, I think this is the works on the front-end of the pool.
Because it continue to generate blocks - just made the screenshot from https://cash.coin.dance/blocks

It's a pity that Zowky and Roger are celebrating Japanese Christmas already, while others are worrying, but I believe that everything is working.

Where have you guys moved your miners to point to?

I'm not experienced, pointed mine to multipool.us for bch. Seems there are a lot of merged coins there. Assuming it's worth it. Open to advice though.

Hey guys. So I thought my miners had been put offline by me and was scratching my head for a l ittle wh ile, until I noticed miners were blinking normal in my mining room. Also I noticed they were hot. They were mining somewhere.

Because I'm crazy paranoid I tcpdumped my firewall to make sure it was pool.bitcoin.com and someone hadn't dns hijacked me. I can see its thru cloudflare and looked legit. So I checked my router port on firewall and my internal network, to check the miners request, and the share confirmation is coming back from pool.bitcoin.com, folks it is.

I notice in my backend of the miner I also see shares are being confirmed. IT looks like the bitcoin.com website is having database problems.

I suspect I am not the only person who can report the site appears dead as do stats, but shares are still b eing accepted. But are they being counted? I don't know.

I emailed them over an hour ago about this.

At least the RDNS response looks right and the stratum is receiving shares from my miner, and accepting them. It's just not showing on the site is all.

Best,
Adam
