Hi nrupcich,I just recently set up a bitcoin.com wallet so I could buy and store BTCC. Upon creating the wallet I sent BTC over from my coinbase wallet so I could purchase the BTCC. Turns out I set the BTC to my bitcoin.com BTCC wallet address on accident. I checked blockchain.info and the bitcoin was received by the wallet...but is obviously inaccessible given it is set up as a BTCC wallet and the wallet shows 0 balance. How can I recover my BTC from the BTCC wallet? Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi Carbit,Hi nandibear, I mistakenly sent this to nrupcich and looks like he was the OP. I meant to ask you nandibear, I had the same thing happen to me as I sent BTC from my Coinbase to BTCC on my Bitcoin.com Wallet. I tried the link you recommended, however I was only able to do the first 3 steps. The 4th step is "Turn on Bitcoin (BTC)." How do I turn on Bitcoin? Thank you!
Hi henry,Hello,
A transaction was made to my account since yesterday and till now i still haven't seen a reflection of it on my account.
can anyone pls check ?
Are you using a Bitcoin.com wallet? If so, did you use your BCH address or you BTC address?I don't think its from Simplex.
its my first transaction on Bitcoin...
and someone transferred it yesterday. can i post the picture he sent here ?
Here's a screenshot from the app (you should be on this page when you are doing step #3):Hi nandibear, I am using the Bitcoin.com wallet on my phone and not a computer. I do not see the option to "turn on bitcoin" nor are options 5 and 6 visible. On the phone app there are "Home" ,"Receive" , "Scan" , "Send" , "Settings." I tried to attach an image of my screen but it appears only URL's can be attached. I did not realize that BTC and BCH were on different blockchains. Here's what I originally did. I pushed the receive button on my bitcoin.com app which defaulted to the BCH wallet key. I entered this key into my coinbase account and sent. It took about 6 hours for my coinbase account to verify funds sent. At this point I do not have the funds in my bitcoin.com account. This appears to be due to the funds being sent from coinbase as BTC and trying to receive as BCH on my bitcoin.com wallet. I'm trying to figure out how to get the funds into my bitcoin.com wallet. Thank you for your help.
I suggest searchingh your BTC address on an explorer (such as https://blockchain.info/ ) to make sure that there is BTC at your address. Its BTC address
am using Bitcoin wallet on my phone and i sent my BTC address for the transfer.
"...Where would I find "show advanced option?"Hi nandibear, I created a BTC Recovery Wallet. Step 5 is "show advanced option" and Step 6 is Change “Random” to “Specify Recovery Phrase." I do not see an option for either one of these steps. Where would I find "show advanced option?"
Perhaps you accidentally used your BCH (i.e., Bitcoin Cash) address to receive BTC (i.e., Bitcoin). If you might have done that please follow these instructions:Money Transferred.
but its not showing on my phone.
You're very welcome.Hi nanibear, I was able to get the funds into my BTC wallet on bitcoin.com although I didn't finish step 9 so I'm not sure how it worked. Thank you!! How would I transfer my BTC wallet into BCH wallet? or should I start another thread for that?
