Beyond the shortlink issue, I think the basic principle of the article is that the parabolic uptrend of Bitcoin recently is a dangerous trend to follow, and we can't presume that future growth will be proportional.

I think this is a valid premise, and it's why I'm extremely cautious of investing large amounts in Bitcoin right now. I do think the long-term growth will be much higher than the current price, but short-term I think we're due for a major correction and it would be foolish to invest a lot when there's such a substantial risk of a major downturn in the near future.
