Cash wallet address instead of core wallet address for buying bitcoin

Hello, On 12/8/17, I installed bitcoin app to buy bitcoins. I clicked receive button and I got an address which I used for buying bitcoin. The credit card was charged but i did not see any bitcoin in my account. I contacted simplex support and they told me that bitcoin was sent to the address I provided.
Now when I carefully looked into the app, when I clicked receive button, the address generated is actually for Bitcoin cash wallet and not for Bitcoin core wallet, and this is the address I used for buying bitcoin. Both the cash and core wallets have zero bitcoins now.
Please help me in the next steps I should be doing for retrieving my bitcoins.

If you use the bitcoin.com wallet you will have to wallets but both use the same seed and thus should receive the Bitcoins.
A problem could be if you transacted more with Bitcoin Cash and thus the addresses have advanced more on that wallet than on the other.

You can go to Settings -> [you Core wallet] -> More options -> Wallet Addresses
click on the plus sign until the address you gave simplex is shown.

The wallet should now be able to detect your incoming transaction.

In addition you can check on the block explorer if the transaction has already been confirmed.

I purchased some bitcoin. I gave a bit coin cash wallet address. The transaction has gone through and the address match. But if i scan funds for the wallet nothing still

Do you have a Bitcoin Core/SegWit wallet?
Did you try to add additional addresses as described above?
