Bitcoin Not Showing Up In Wallet

Please help. I consider myself decently tech savvy, and yet I've found myself extremely frustrated because I can't figure this out. It seems like it should be SO simple and yet I've spent at least 3 hours frustrating myself to no avail.
I started here and downloaded the wallet on my computer. I tried purchasing bitcoin through this site which sent me to SImplex, but was denied for whatever reason. So then I went to Coinmama and was able to get through their verification process and bought bitcoin using my credit card. I went to my wallet from this site, went to receive, and copied my address and placed that in my order through Coinmama. It's been over a week, and nothing has shown up in my wallet, although I have an email from Coinmama saying it went through and have a blockchain statement saying everything is good, but still nothing in my wallet. I then decide to download the wallet on my phone, push the button to buy bitcoin, I'm sent to Simplex, this time I get through without a hitch, order bitcoin, get an email from Simplex that everything is fine, still no bitcoin in my wallet. SO then I open a wallet through Coinmama, place another order, and everything went through without a hitch so there has to be something I'm not doing right with the Bitcoin wallet. Will someone please help me find my other orders or tell me how I can transfer it to my Coinmama wallet since that's working. Please...thank you...Erica

After hours and hours researching this, I've finally found the answer. Unbeknownst to me there's a difference between BCH (Bitcoin Cash) and BTC (Bitcoin Coin/Core) When I made my purchase, I used the address from my BCH wallet to receive. It never showed up in my wallet. After hours and hours of research, what I had to do was go into settings, select my bitcoin core wallet, click on more options, then wallet addresses, click on unused addresses 20 times (it will say null when you can't click anymore), then click on scan address for funds. It was like magic, my purchase just showed up. You can't even begin to imagine how happy I was. I really hope this helps others that have the same problem.

That's excellent. I noticed that My Bitcoin Cash Wallet had the same address as my Bitcoin Core Wallet. I tried the same thing as you after finding the article, but unfortunately my funds still don't show up.

The following information below applies only to the Bitcoin.com Wallet

If your BTC (i.e., Bitcoin) is not showing up please:

- Go to Settings -> Your Wallet (BTC) -> More Options -> Transaction History -> Clear cache
This clears the cache and synchronizes your transaction history from the server.

**If the funds still do not appear you can try:**

- Go to Settings -> Your Wallet -> More Options -> Wallet Addresses -> Tap 'Unused Addresses' 20 times until you see the message "Empty addresses limit reached", then tap 'Scan addresses for funds'
- Below will appear all the unused and addresses with funds available associated with your BTC wallet.
- The funds should now also show up on your wallet homepage.

- Go to Settings -> Your Wallet (BCH) -> More Options -> Transaction History -> Clear cache
This clears the cache and synchronizes your transaction history from the server.
