Bitcoin Cash send to Electrum Wallet

Sat Dec 09, 2017 4:31 pm

Hello,
I bought some Bitcoin Cash and send them to my Electrum but didn't recieve the coins.
I can see the transaction is done and confirmed and one of my Electrum addresses is used as recieve address.
On blockchair.com is can see the transaction and see my Electrum address.

Someone mentioned that i had to use a Bitcoin cash wallet and should have used that in stead of a bitcoin wallet.
Now i have one (Exodus + Electron Cash) but am unable to get the Bitcoin Cash i bought.

Is there a way to recieve my Bitcoin Cash ?

Electrum works only for Bitcoin.
The Electrum client has been forked as Electron Cash to support Bitcoin Cash and can be downloaded from https://www.electroncash.org/.

You should be able to use the same seed as with Electrum to create the Electron Cash wallet.

Yes have a Electron Cash wallet but no bitcoin cash is being imported.
I'v read something about a regular address or segwit address, i have the segwit address (starting with 3), starting with 1 should be easy to do but with 3 not.

Did you create a SegWit address in Electrum and send the Bitcoin Cash to it?

If this is the case then you need help from a miner to get the bitcoins back.
I heard that btc.com helps.

What is important is that you don't spend from the same SegWit address on the Bitcoin (SegWit) network.
If you do so than any miner could claim your Bitcoin Cash coins without you.
