14€ per transaction ?

Mon Nov 13, 2017 3:39 pm

Hi, I am new here and maybe I got all the hype totally wrong but a transaction fee of 14% for what I wanted to send 100€ / 14.24€ fee just as a test to getting used to the system doesn´t make any sense to me with respect to the usability of the whole thing.
The bank wins always I guess :)
Cheers,

Hi, I am also new and got involved with the pump and dump. I got excited and tried to move coins around from BTC to USD and what I found was the TRANSACTION FEES to me were very high. In some cases it cost me more in fees than I transferred ???? Maybe I should have done better research!!

Unfortunately the blocks on Bitcoin (SegWit) are full and because of this the transaction fees are high and the transaction take long to confirm.
On Weekends the fees are a little less expensive.

Because of this problem Bitcoin Cash has forked in August and thanks to a bigger block size does not have the same problems as Bitcoin (SegWit).
