First purchase of bitcoin not showing in my wallet - HELP

Total newbie here and am ready to be shown the error of my ways.
Okay so I downloaded - from bitcoin.com - the windows x64 bitcoin cash wallet.
I also used bitcoin.com+simplex to purchase my first bitcoin (quite a lot of cash for me)
I had to go through the ID stages and successfully completed these and had the confirmation email that the transaction had been approved and then one to ask me to confirm that the bitcoin had been received - which I havent replied to because my wallet is empty!!

So I checked the transaction id and my address at blockchain.info and the transaction has been completed and my address is correct according to my wallet.
But the wallet on my computer is still showing 'no transactions' and BTC and BCH both showing 0.00

I have no idea what to do - have I lost this money?
Please please please someone help - all suggestions welcome

HI - Update
After the computer being on and connected to the internet for over 2 hours - the amount has finally shown up in my wallet - panic over.
