Unix Coin ICO Review- Is it a Scam?

Mon Nov 27, 2017 11:04 pm

The Unix Coin ICO has already started with coins on sale for just $0.9

What is Unix Coin?

They're planning to launch a new decentralized cryptocurrency. Their new coin will be used on their website which will give investors the chance to lend them money for interest rates of over 1% per day. The website claims to be using advanced bots that trade the cryptocurrency markets which allows them to pay such high interest rates.

The rise of cryptocurrency and lending platforms

Cryptocurrency has seen huge gains in value during 2017. Bitcoin is still the leader with just over half of the entire market cap and a huge price per coin approaching $10,000. However this year has also seen the rise of many smaller cryptocurrencies, many of these have launched via an ICO (Initial Coin Offering). An ICO offers platforms the chance to raise the initial funds needed in return for distributing their tokens to investors. Many investors have seen huge returns on these types of investments recently,
Among the most succesful investments has been lending platforms. Most of these use trading bots to trade the cryptocurrency markets, due to the high volatility they claim to be making huge profits. This is what allows them to offer such attractive rates of interest.
Bitconnect was the first lending platform to launch just over a year ago, their coin price was initially just $0.5 and has since risen to $300- offering investors a huge 600x return on their investment.
More recently Hextracoin and Regalcoin launched and quickly saw their price rise to $30 within the first week.

The new platform state that they will be offering 2 different types of lending options. The first will be similar to their competitors which offers interest Dependant on the volatility of Bitcoin. The second offers a fixed rate of interest for shorter loan terms.
This offers investors a chance to choose between a fixed interest rate over the short term or a variable longer term investment.

Unix Coin ICO Details

The token sale is set to run until the 25th of December with a total of 6 million coins. The price is currently just $0.9 but will increase as the token sale goes on until it reaches the final price of $1.4

Referral program

As with many big businesses the new platform states that they hope to attract new investors by offering a generous referral program. They pay 7% on first level sign ups with additional bonuses lower down.

Conclusion

All investments into cryptocurrency are risky so please don't invest more than you can afford to lose. However these lending platform type token sales have been my most successful investments. Many of them tend to rise to over $20 as soon as they're listed on exchanges.
This platform offers an advantage over it's competitors by offering 2 different lending options, I feel that many more users will invest into the short term loans, meaning that more people will be holding the tokens which should cause the price to rise.
By combining the lending platform with the expected increase of the token value it should be possible to make large profits.
It's always best to diversify however so check out my reviews on some of their competitors also.
