Cannot create wallet

I just downloaded the bitcoin.com wallet for windows and when I click on create wallet I get the message: Cannot create wallet. Error creating wallet: network error.

What version of the wallet do you have? You can find this information by going to "settings" --> "About Bitcoin.com wallet'
If you have the latest version (v4.0.3) of the wallet then you should already have both Bitcoin Legacy (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) wallets created by default.

If you are trying to import an existing wallet into the Bitcoin.com wallet then you will need to tap the + sign to the right of your wallet then select "Import wallet" Now just enter the 12 word recovery phrase from your wallet, make sure you select the correct coin (BTC/BCH) and tap on "Import"
