Unable to claim my BCC to my wallet. Any advice?

Hi all

I've been trying to claim my Bitcoin Cash, by importing it to my new Bitcoin.com Wallet. I've added a BCC wallet, to it, but after inserting the Recovery Phrase, and when I click import, I get the following message:

"Could not access the wallet at the server. Please check: The password of the recovery phrase If set)
The derivation path
The wallet service URL
NOTE: To import a wallet from a 3rd party software, please go to ADD WALLET > CREATE WALLET, and specify the Recovery Phrase there.

However, when I got to ADD WALLET, there is no option for simply CREATE WALLET. There are only the options for NEW PERSONAL WALLET and TO CREATE SHARED WALLET.

Looking forward to any input on this matter.

What you need to do is go to ADD WALLET > NEW PERSONAL WALLET > Show advanced options > Wallet Key > Specify Recovery Phrase. Type your recovery phrase into the new input field that appears, where is says "Enter the Recovery Phrase (BIP39)"

After the wallet has been imported with your phrase, your funds might not display at first. To fix this, go to Settings > Select the wallet you're trying to import > More Options > Wallet Addresses > Scan Addresses For Funds.

Are you sure you have the private key? Exchanges wouldn't normally give users that access.

Did you have your BTC on a bitcoin exchange or in a bitcoin wallet at the time of the fork?

Hi bitkilo and thanks for the quick response. My BTC was with OmniWallet at the time of the fork and they let you download the private key but don't support Bitcoin Cash.

Is the private key in Bip39 format?

I'm unsure as to what the format is except that it's a mix of 51 letters and numbers if that helps.
