invalid BTC address (???) newcomer

Sun Nov 19, 2017 9:22 am

Hello,
I am totally new here. I've registered yesterday, and also made my BTC Adress (min. 20 characters). What was strange, that bitcoin.com didn't allowed me to use numerical characters, so my BTC Address contains only alphabetical characters.
Now I would like to buy via bitcoin.com wallet some bitcoins (with my traditional debit card issued by a bank), but https://buy.bitcoin.com/ says, my BTC Adress is not valid. (Anyway I have also one character in my BTC adress, which can be capital i or small letter L (it looks like: "I"), I have tried both version, but they aren't valid.
What could be the problem?
Tanks a lot in advance for your help!
Gr,
Stph

one more important thing: when I check my own profile here, I see my BTC address in character-format, but not that scannable square - I guess it calls: QR code. So No QR code on my profile. Anyway what DO YOU see, when you chek my profile? Can you see my BTC adress?

Hello,

I think you maybe a little confused how the wallet works. The Bitcoin.com wallet will never ask you to create you own receiving addresses, it will create them for you.

You can find your Bitcoin address for receiving payments in the Receive section of the Bitcoin.com wallet: https://www.bitcoin.com/choose-your-wal ... com-wallet. It is the long string of numbers and letters starting with '1'. Please note that this address will change each time you receive a payment, however all previously used addresses can continue to receive payments into your wallet.

Please also be sure to read our Getting Started: https://www.bitcoin.com/getting-started section to learn more about Bitcoin and how it works.

You should also find our FAQ section: https://www.bitcoin.com/faq very useful.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your quick answer.
I have already read all of these links you mentioned more times last night,, I spent here more than 3 hours, yesterday.
Today I downloaded Bitcoin.com Wallet, a small orange window has appeared, and this small window asks me to type my "BTC Address". So the wallet don't generate automatically any BTC Address. (??)
