Costco Cash Cards for Bitcoin begins operations !

Fri Nov 27, 2015 3:15 am

What do you think about the following concept ??

I was thinking about how to make some extra money for the holidays. In 2014, I sold firewood at Dockweiler beach just west of LAX International Airport and did quite well for the entire year.

But, lately there has been a lot of pressure to make selling of wood at the beach more difficult. I'm always looking for the next business opportunity.

I came up with the idea of enabling people to use CostCo Cash Cards to purchase gifts and food and gas from CostCo that were not members already purchased with Bitcoin.

Here in Southern California where I live, CostCo gasoline is consistently 30 or 40 cents cheaper that the other providers and that's significant when gas is $2.90 a gallon or more.

Of course, when it comes to food, clothing, decorations and so many other things that families buy every week purchasing at CostCo can lead to significant savings.

Then I found that the sales of "Stored Value" products like CostCo Gas cards are frowned upon by major credit card processing companies without exorbitant fees.

Oh they will accommodate you ... and charge huge fees.

Then ... I thought of Bitcoin ... Could that work ?

Well, that's the basic idea ... purchase a CostCo Cash Card good at any CostCo throughout the US and Canada for the purchase of anything that CostCo sells.

We offer Costco Gift Cards for our friends at face value and only charge a 10% convenience fee.

A great gift idea.

You can use a Costco Cash Card to purchase ...

Costco Cas * Costco Food * Costco Pharmacy * Costco.com * Business Purchases * College Students

From $100 to $1000

Valid at all U.S. and Canada Costco Locations.

You do NOT need to be a Costco member to use the Costco Cash Card.

All purchases MUST be less that the remaining balance on the Card.

And we sell these cards exclusively for Bitcoin.

Welcome to my corner of the Bitcoin economy.

If you live and/or work in the US or Canada I would love to do business and trade Bitcoins for CostCo Cash Cards !!

I gotta give credit where credit is due and you my friend have a great business mind, your always brainstorming new way to make cash and that's cool.

This new idea of your sounded good until i got to the part about the 10% convenience fee you will be charging, i know your trying to make cash but 10% is a pretty hefty mark up. If i was to buy a $1000 Costco cash card off you i would have to pay $100 to buy the card, with that money i could just buy my own Costco member card and have it for life and all the saving that come with it.
i would say you need to re-think your idea a little.

Thanks for the support and yes, if you are going to do this often you'll want to get your own membership but ... maybe you are buying this for someone else ... parents often buy these for their college students.

I'm just throwing stuff on the Bitcoin wall and seeing what will stick !

Thanks for the encouraging words, my friend !

The fee has been lowered to 5%, except for the least expensive Cash Card which is $55 for a $50 US Cash Card.

I gotta eat.

Anyway... I'm starting to get some traction and I want it to be a FLOOD !!!

=======================================================================

I'm getting a lot of hits and people are turning away. I couldn't agree more that I need a way to give people confidence that they will get their product as ordered. .... But How ?

References ... that's exciting that you bring that up ... I agree that users should be cautious of such offerings as mine.

What kind of reference would be appropriate ?

I have character references on Facebook ... but not in the Cryptocurrency world, because I'm new.

I need a champion that likes the idea and is willing to bet some "coin" and put me to the test ?

Champion ?

Cheers !

I don't get it, this is very confusing all of a sudden.
You start off by selling these gift cards and now you asking if anybody wants to "bet" some coins and put you to the test.
What test?
What would you do with the btc if you had someone interested enough to give you some?
