Like the original Silk Road, we also prohibit the sale of “anything whose purpose is to harm or defraud.” This includes child pornography, stolen credit cards, assassinations and weapons of mass destruction. Unlike the original Silk Road we will also have to delete posts advertising things that are illegal in most jurisdictions. This isn't because we don't support your right to engage in these peaceful transactions, but because violent people we have never met, calling themselves the state, would likely use violence against us if we were to allow those things.

Online Recruitment Marketplace

Fri Nov 10, 2017 9:10 am

In the end of the year, like annual conventions and annual bonus, job hopping is more frequent than the rest of the year. Thanks to the Internet, more and more people begin to look for new jobs through the internet. Due to continual pursuit for a “good job”, online recruitment business, which started in late 20th century, has continued to prosper till now. But we can’t deny that the expectation that recruitment websites give us is less and less. With time goes by, people have great demands to an Internet that keeps up with the times. However, traditional recruitment websites and technologies have little innovation recently. No matter who, in online recruitment market, is looking for a solution to the question that “How to attract users”.
In a recent survey, more than 7,000 users listed their core problems about online recruitment that they concerned most and the way they got recruitment information. The result of survey showed that it was the most effective way to find a job through internet and being recommended by relatives. The former way is 31.3% and the latter way is 26.7% in the result.
Besides, 8.9% of users are recommended by education facilities, such as schools and colleges. There is one thing that catch our eyes that the way that agencies and vocational schools usually used is weakening in recruitment market with only 3.3% and 3.7% in the survey.
According to the survey, job-hunting for users is becoming more and more vertical. Recruitment websites that contains vast information and the relatives who can recommend reliable jobs are the most popular in China. Until now, there is no other way that can replace them due to their irreplaceable advantages. They are the main ways that people in China use to get their jobs.
Based on the above mentioned, recruitment websites and relatives recommend are 2 ways for people to get their job information.
On the other hand, traditional media like newspaper, magazines and TV are gradually losing their influence on recruitment. Users who get their job-hunting information by printing material, tv and radio is only less than 10%. Their limited information makes them less advantageous than the internet which contains plenty of information.
Users who get their information through social media is also less than the one who use internet, with 4.2%. Social media like Wechat and Weibo has their own limits, which hinder them from recruitment market. But we can’t deny that they work in specific groups for directional recruitment.
Users prefer recruitment websites when they need to find a job. There is someone who will release their job-applying information in recruitment websites. Also, a part of users will visit targeted companies’ official websites and submit their resumes.
In the past few years, companies have improved their network layout and update their recruitment information. It has attracted more and more internet users who are willing to find a job day by day. Compared with other recruitment means, Information that are released on the official website of companies is more accurate, and more reliable. Submit resumes on targeted company’s official website is more and more popular.
Social media with strong social purposes has its own limitation in recruitment. However when compared with specific social media platform that are designed for job-hunting, the latter one has advantages over the former one.
Online recruitment is the most popular recruitment means compared with the others, however, sword has double edges, and recruitment websites are no exception. People criticize for false information and fraud, which includes false propaganda, over-packaging, a lack of feedback and slow reply. Among them, users criticize false propaganda the most. Therefore, outstanding traditional recruitment websites are far from excellent user experience.
Among several common job-hunting methods, traditional recruitment websites, as a tool that are used most and the most common methods for those who want to find a job, is outstanding. As a useful platform that was born in late 20th century, it has played a main role in people’s job hunting, although it is no longer the main role on the internet, and there is no other force that can replace it according to the survey. It is still the mainstream choice in China’s recruitment market.
There is no difference between traditional recruitment websites and recruitment agencies because they make profits by information asymmetry. Years have gone by, and the disadvantage of this profit model jeopardize its own survival. Just like the survey showed, outdated recruitment information and unreal description of jobs are continuing to reduce the users’ level of trust. Besides traditional recruitment websites also allow job-seekers to create multiple resumes and submit their resumes in batch. They attempt to attract more and more users but, quite the contrary, it neglects a terrible consequence, namely, too much resume and the lower and lower matching of talents and position.
If companies and job-seekers can have a platform that provide with peer to peer information for both sides, then the platform will prosper.
