Doubts regarding cloud computing

I am writing this for a friend. He runs a medium sized business in Toronto. Recently the business is facing some financial problems. So he was looking to reduce his day to day expenses. He was advised to move all of his business to the cloud.
He believes the advise and is ready to do it. But still, he has some doubts that he wants to clear. do try to help.
- Is the initial cost high?
- Will the reduction in day to day expenses be enough to justify the initial cost?
- How reliable is the cloud?
Someone suggested this cloud computing service to him. But he is looking to find more about them. Also suggested some similar companies.

Just so you know (or perhaps you already know and you just wanted to post your link) but this has nothing to do with cloud mining.
