Send Btc to the same generate address twice

Hi All,

I believe this may be a really old question but please answer me.

I download bitcoin.com wallet and send bitcoin from bittrex and coinbase to the same address.

I didn't notice that there is a new generate address after I done transferring btc from bittrex.

The amount of btc I transferred from bittrex is credited immediately but coinbase isn't.

Transaction on coinbase is already taken place and they withdrawal my btc on coinbase wallet also.

However, as I see on blockchain there is only 1 transaction which is the amount I sent from bittrex.

I am not sure where btc from coinbase send to??

Can someone please help me answer it?

Hello nhancao1201, To protect your privacy bitcoin.com wallet wallet generates new addresses automatically once you use a bitcoin address once,
All bitcoin transactions are public, traceable, and permanently stored in the Bitcoin network. For these reasons, bitcoin addresses should only be used once and users must be careful not to disclose their addresses. When addresses are re-used, they allow others to much more easily and reliably determine that the address being reused is yours. You can certainly re-use your old address, did you transfer the coins from coinbase to the same address with bittrex transfer ??

Hi Chris,

Yes, I did re-use my address twice.

I made the transfer from bittrex first so it is credited to my account but the other from coinbase isn't credited.

I check on coinbase that there is a confirm transation but it only shows the exact amount which I sent from bittrex.

I am not sure if anyone experienced this like me.
