Could anyone explain Bitcoin Gold hard fork details?

Hi, guys!

Just want to make a podcast for my blog: howtotoken.com about bitcoin gold hard fork. I researched this theme for a while, asked questions for developers in their slack channel (https://t.co/bEMhsWn4Nx) but I still have a lot of questions, hope to find an expert or help of community to answer the rest.

So here, that we have right now:

• 25th of October Bitcoin Gold will make a snapshot on block 491407 (which is very close to 12:00:00UTC Oct 25th)
  BTG blockchain will start off being around 110GB, on disk
  At the period from 25th of October and 1st of November the Bgold team will test all the stuff in testnet
  At the 1st of November the mainnet will be updated and we could start mining Bgold
  The guys from Bgold had 16000 blocks premined (and it will be in mainnet)
  The reply protection doesn't implement yet

Here are unanswered questions:

• How to explain Equihash for dummies? I just tried to ask Alex Biryukov, but there is no an answer yet. Maybe you could help to distribute this tweet: https://twitter.com/howtotoken/status/9 ... 9652526083
  How premine technically possible? It seems the mainnet software will have a patch that will add this blocks to blockchain?
