Payment methods are constantly evolving, as consumers want to avoid human interaction as much as possible during the checkout process. Whereas society used to rely on cash payments, most of the Western World has transitioned into card payments by now. But that won’t be the final evolutionary steps for payments, as mobile payments are looming on the horizon. Swatch has teamed with Visa to let consumers make payments with their watch.
