Monero uses ring signatures which obfuscates the blockchain very well. Alt coin exchanges are certainly the weak points - there really needs to be more competition in this space.

There's a cost of 1000 Dash to run an incentivised voting node (around $2,300 USD). Granted this is probably too high for Bitcoin node operators, but a low cost (say around $5 USD worth of Bitcoin) could be low enough to be affordable but high enough to prevent attackers gaming the system.

I've been feeling a bit disenfranchised about running a node these days. With all the block size debate the node operators haven't been given a voice. There's been a lot of discussion about the miners but the block size is something that mostly affects node operators.

Kind of like multi-sig, but for information. Of course you can use it to split your seed or passwords.

Open source, encryption client side, you can download the site and use it on an offline computer too.
