Yes, I do get that error at step #9 but the BCH wallet is not listed in Settings so I have no way to choose it in step 10.

Thank you for the response. I have contacted wallet@bitcoin.com twice over the last couple of weeks but never received a reply. What would I do if the BCH wallet was accidentally deleted?

You're welcome.

It sound like you may be trying the steps on the wrong wallet. In step #10 you are (in your case) to use your existing BCH wallet (not your existing BTC wallet).

That's the problem. There is no existing BCH wallet. The process will not create it. The only wallet I can use it ...

Hi dht,

(1) I believe that step 9 specifically indicates that if an error is received that you are to then use your existing wallet (because a recovery wallet will not exist) for step 10.

(2) I believe that the latest version of the Bitcoin.com wallet is v4.1.0

Can't create wallet

I am following the steps listed here as BCH was accidentally sent to my BTC wallet.

In step 9 I do receive the error mentioned (key already associated with an existing wallet) so I continue to step 10.

v 3.6.0 has the Service URL in the post above for BCH when you try to create a new personal BCH wallet in the steps listed here

That url appears to be incorrect for BCH and it appears v 4 has this fixed. (But now ...

What is the correct Wallet Service URL?

Could someone please tell me what the correct Wallet Service URL is?

Is https://bwsbcc.bitcoin.com/bws/api correct and if not what is the right URL?

I am trying to create a new personal wallet and I receive the message:

I am having this same problem. If you get a response from wallet@bitcoin.com please share it here. I emailed them days ago and received no response. My guess is that maybe we need to use a different Service URL but I have no idea what it would be.
