Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Would Roger be willing to organize a group buy of R4 Ant Miners (and PSUs)? I'd love to contribute hashpower to the pool from home but the miners are so hard to obtain. They sell out almost as soon as they are posted for sale.

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Roger,
I would like to support your pool. I used to mine, but my ASICs are now obsolete. I have considerable financial resources. I imagine there are others out there like me. Would you develop, as a priority, resources for independent miners? Advice and information on the latest ASIC equipment ...

Solutions to the 2-way Peg Problem

I posted this on the bitco.in forum but I didn't get the response I'd hoped so I'm also posting here:

The Two Way Peg Problem: how do we construct a protocol so that a participant can convert some amount of bitcoin to a side coin *and back* at a fixed rate? It is assumed no new coins are issued on ...

Re: Bitcoin Hard Forks and More with Erik Voorhees

Actually I would argue that Erik is correct.
The vast majority of miners do support classic, they just haven't directed their hashing power to mine classic blocks yet.
I've met with the vast majority of the mining power in person over the last two months, nearly all of them support bigger blocks ...

Re: Concrete Steps

Try to stay informed on upcoming hard forks like SatoshisBitcoin
I see that the OP has not updated the thread since March 30, there is no website, there are no binaries, and the supposed launch date is in 6 days.

Re: Gavin and Mycelium on bigger blocks

Current block saturation is 60% . So we have some time left and SW is coming soon enough. LN will take some pressure away from the mainnet too.

Respectfully caution that you check your premises. 1) Average blocksize can never be = block size limit. Head first mining virtually ...

Re: Concrete Steps

I'm already doing these things, but it doesn't seem like enough. I want to do more.

I can't accept that we are limited to just these options. This is Bitcoin. Bitcoin is freedom. I want an option that is bolder than waiting for 75%. I'm tired of waiting. I'm ready to fork now. I'll run nodes. I'll ...

Concrete Steps

I don't want to live in a small block world. Bitcoin used to be controlled by 'us', remember? I want my Bitcoin back.

What concrete things can I do to make bigger blocks a reality?

Re: THE "consensus"

'Consensus' is an overreach. There was a deal negotiated. The developers got a commitment from the miners not to run any software not written by them. The miners got no specific commitment, more like a vague promise to consider a hardfork in code this summer, which might include a block size ...

Re: Who would be interested in a Bitcoin.com mining pool?

A mining pool is a good idea. I would commit to buying ~7500 watts of hashpower to put towards a pool if you were running it.

Would it be asking too much to take it a step further? If you do this, would you organize an ASIC supply store for your users as well? I am not savvy enough to know which ...
