Is the bitcoin.com BCH node not communicating with its peers?
I'm going to go with this as the most likely explanation. The BCH transaction finally went through about 13 hours later.

Not receiving BCH from import of pre-fork private key

I had a pre-fork BTC address that had a small amount of coin in it. I generated a QR code of the private key and scanned it into the Bitcoin.com wallet (v4.1.0). I don't remember the specifics of the user dialog, but I believe I was prompted to import the funds separately into the BCH and BTC wallet...

I think most wallets are going to support Bitcoin Cash pretty quickly. If your wallet doesn't do so in a timely fashion, just export the private key(s) and import them into a Bitcoin Cash supporting wallet. The specific steps required would depend on which wallets you intend to use.

The way I would handle this is to first install Electrum on your laptop with it connected to the internet. Then disable your WiFi and/or unplug your ethernet cable. Insert your USB drive with the wallet.dat file and export the private keys from bitcoin-QT using the method described here: https://bit...
