Re: I'm Wu Jihan, bitcoin evangelist , Co-founder of BITMAIN. Ask me anything ! (AMA Dec. 22)

Do you think raising the blocksize is an urgent issue?

Hypothetically, if the "Bitcoin Core" implemented a change that you disagreed with, would you use a different software implementation of the Bitcoin protocol?

Incidentally, I'm confused about BIP45... is the purpose constant 45 or 48?

It's 48 in Copay's implementation...

Re: btcdrak to moderate /r/btc.. we're screwed

I think a lot of people feel "unsafe" with btcdrak as a mod, in that they feel they might get banned for saying the wrong thing... which is really the *entire point* for moving away from /r/bitcoin in the first place.

Can you "tag" users on this forum? Is the notation above correct?

Re: I’m Dan Morehead, CEO of Pantera Capital and Chairman of Bitstamp! AMA!

I'm glad that you invited developers to talk to each other about governance, however, the scaling issue still seems stalled and it feels like every influential person (such as yourself) is waiting for consensus to emerge. Do you intend to be more proactive and try to mold consensus around a ...

What tools are available for tracking the balance of a multisig HD wallet?

What tools are available for tracking the balance of a multisig HD wallet?

(with a single-sig HD wallet, a lot of block explorers now support searching xpub keys... how would this work for multisig though?)

Might there be interest in an AMA with someone from the journal, Ledger?

Re: I'm Alena Vranova, business developer, Co-founder of SatoshiLabs, the creator of TREZOR hardware wallet. AMA - 24th

Two questions/comments:

1. Before the Trezor went for sale, I was literally planning to buy *hundreds* of them and just hand them out to anyone I thought might be interested in Bitcoin. I wasn't expecting them to cost $100, of course (but I still bought 10, including 2 metal ones, so don't think I ...

Hi Tuur,

Full disclosure, this question is a shameless plug:

Have you (or are you) considering submitting any of your research to our new peer-reviewed journal Ledger? Also, it would be great to hear your thoughts on the role that academics can play in the evolution of Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies.

Hi Stephen,

First of all I want to say THANKS, YOU GUYS ARE MY HEROES. You and Tony have done so much for Bitcoin it's hard to think where we would be today without you.

Now my question: What are you doing to help mold consensus around BIP101 (or if not that, some other block size solution)? Are ...

Hi Wences,

Thanks for doing this AMA!

It seems to me that a lot of the venture capital dollars are being invested prematurely... I think that money would have been better spent just buying bitcoins, and then once the price is $10,000 (ish), a lot more money is then needed to try and keep it ...

Re: I'm Gavin Andresen, Bitcoin geek. Ask me anything!

Hey Gavin,

Two quick questions (one big and one small(er))

1) It always felt to me, in the months leading up to last August, that the clear popular majority was in favor of larger blocksizes and even BitcoinXT (it still feels that way on /r/Bitcoin). It was surprising then that so few people ...
