Re: How will Unlimited safely be implemented?

*But at the same time, if we think about bitcoin as digital gold. It should be as it is. Gold is not easy to send people. expensive as well! Then they can use less worth tokens to daily use. And bitcoin to save money.

Re: How will Unlimited safely be implemented?

I have been thinking, perhaps somehow it is possible to add a percentage of the amount transacted and calculate the fee out of it.. So if you transfer 10usd in btc, it will still be e.g 0.1USD(1%' fee) for median transaction. 2% for fast and so on? Because now the price are measured and set in ...

Re: How will Unlimited safely be implemented?

I'm scared of what happens after the fork as well. It will either be like ETH and ETH classic, or reversed where most miners stays with core and that chains take precedent. It's somewhat scary. I also don't even want to think about what happens to the price after the fork, months of progress are ...

Re: The Fork Revolution! - returning BTC to Satoshi's original mission

“Economic actors that wish to see the speed limit [block-size limit] at X or Y – thus dictating the free market – will lobby the Chief Scientist and other ‘core’ developers, individually, in private, in public, with carrots, and with sticks”, writes Mr. Garzik in the draft for BIP 100. “When [the ...

Re: The Fork Revolution! - returning BTC to Satoshi's original mission

Today is a sad day for bitcoin -- our bitcoin market cap dominance index has reached the lowest it ever has -- at 73.6%. If miners don't move fast, I think bitcoin could loose it's dominance rather fast.

In addition, it seems in a lot of exchanges ethereum is getting more trading and more ...

Re: The Fork Revolution! - returning BTC to Satoshi's original mission

Some nodes will be forced off the network, and more nodes will come online as more people can use bitcoin.

There has also been some work done on having pruned nodes which would cut down on the amount of data people would have to store.

I dont think the nodes will handle it very good at this ...

Re: The Fork Revolution! - returning BTC to Satoshi's original mission

But what about how big the blocks will be? And how much data have to be transfered to run a bitcoin client(full version) i alrady upload 10gb when just downloading 100mb, if it get 8-16(or even more)times bigger, it will be 80gb(120gb each 24 hours)

Wont that effect the numbers of nodes relaying ...

Re: Thoughts on BU vs Segwit

At this point, I really don't trust anything coming from Blockstream. Their intentions simply cannot be trusted.

Segwit, IMO should never be allowed to activate.

We need to push for a total & complete BU victory.

One can only wonder how far the price has been held down @ 1mb blocks and if so ...

I think this highlights that even though a majority of users are disappointed with the slow progression of the Core roadmap, they are still confident of the Core team's competency as developers.

Word! :)

But Bitcoin Core IS the "original Bitcoin" so perhaps they just have confident to Satoshi ...

You must always update your client(wallet) before sending if it is more than a few months since last time you did! (Or if is more than 6 months you will have to, or you should do it anyway!)

the real Marketcap?

I have been thinking, and a lot of people only use Bitcoin to transfer funds from location to location and then change it to Fiat again.. This happens thousands of times each day at millions of dollars each day as well..

So how can we know the real marketcap when people withdraw fiat money all the ...

Bitcoin and Bitcoin Transactions

Is it really that bad if confirming transactions take 12 hours or more? It will still be a peer-to-peer, non-profit desentralised banking system and valuta in one that is faster than regular banks. And if regular banks have gotten that much more people in a year, they would have had some "small ...

Re: Satoshi block-size hard fork

It's quite the dilemma. It's sad that Core has decided not to compromise at all, giving rise to alternatives like Bitcoin Unlimited.

How is that sad? It is AMAZING that they wont compromise and wait for a real proposal to come their way! Bigger blocks will also make for a lot more data, then the ...

More peers? More bandwith? Better security and more decentralised?

Hi,

I think Bitcoin Core etc. should make their client connect to at least 12 peers(Not only 8 as now) as the clusters of peers are very easy to see if you virtualiaze the network.. It is also make it much easier to guess who sendt who transaction. With more peers some of this issues will be ...
