Re: btcdrak to moderate /r/btc.. we're screwed

Just unsub'ed from /r/btc. This is unacceptable, and I'm voting with my feet; just as I did with bitcointalk (where I'm a "Legendary" member who used to spend *a lot* of time there) and /r/bitcoin.

Hopefully Roger will realize that *users* of /r/btc do not want this, and that management should ...

Re: Great to see an alternative to the censored forum

Great idea.

Who should we ask to do the AMAs?

Some people who I think would be likely to help with this are:

Myself
Mike Hearn
Gavin Andresen
Erik Vorhees
Andreas Antonopolous
Charlie Shrem via the prison email system.

Who else?

Is there someone on this forum already who would be willing to ...

Re: Great to see an alternative to the censored forum

Thank you all for being the pioneers on this new forum.

Do any of you have ideas on what we can do to make sure we get more traction?

I posted the one idea here: https://forum.bitcoin.com/the-forum/making-this-forum-a-success-and-advertising-your-own-website-at-the-same-time-t178.html
but would ...

Re: Why are you a member of this forum?

I've been a very active member of bitcointalk since mid 2011. Sadly, I no longer consider it a good venue for Bitcoin discussion. Without getting into details, it suffices to say that theymos and the other mods of bitcointalk and /r/bitcoin (on reddit) are aggressively removing threads and posts ...

Re: Big-O scaling - By Gavin Andresen

Solid post. Gavin's ability to cut to the core *practical* ramifications of technical issues is a greatly needed skill in bitcoin dev, else we get the very narrow linear ultra-extrapolation thinking that's holding bitcoin core back.

And on a technical note regarding the first point that Gavin ...

Re: Great to see an alternative to the censored forum

+1

It is time to fork away from Bitcointalk (my home for the past 4+ years) and /r/bitcoin. Free discussion must thrive.
