Censorship on r/bitcoin?

So I've just posted two messages at r/bitcoin , my first two ever I think. Both got deleted within about 12 hours. I kinda just wanted to see if the censorship accusations were true, but neither of the posts pushed the envelope much... One was asking how much censorship if any there is, another was asking what the readers think is the world's best organization for spreading crypto adoption. I think they both complied with the rules.

Based on your own experiences, what are your theories as to their motivations, what's driving the post-destruction rampage or do you agree there is such a thing? Do *you* see them censoring much? To what extent is bitcoin.org controlling r/bitcoin?

Same here. I have given up on that sub. It is doing ghost censuring now, so you can't even see you have been censored.

Here's a subreddit that scrapes what censored comments it is able to: https://www.reddit.com/r/noncensored_bitcoin/

Note that most of the censorship happens through keyword filters and blacklists. Posts that are filtered before they become visible are not scraped. So all of the posts in that subreddit, IIRC, are those that are actively deleted by the moderators.

The censorship is sick there. We really need an objective bitcoin sub. And not /r/btc, because they are biased as well. Something like /r/bitcoinuncensored
