Bitcoins tied up in ongoing transactions??

Hi

I recently purchased some bitcoins from a seller on ebay. I received the bitcoins fine but when I have gone to spend them it says the bitcoins are tied up in ongoing transactions

Does anyone know what this means and how can I rectify it?

Can you post the actual error message you are receiving and let us know where you are getting that message?

As others have said, if you can post the tx or address. But sounds like maybe the tx hasn't confirmed yet due possibly to other unconfirmed inputs that make up the tx.
