Bitcoin Classic wants to fork on 01.06.2017

Sun Mar 26, 2017 6:25 pm

Oliver Janssens has published a blog entry stating that Bitcoin Classic will fork:

I'm not sure if I should believe it.

Edit: This was just a brainstorming and should not have been published yet:

It was just brainstorming. I will support a minority fork though if we have exhausted all options. Maybe June is too early? But if we don't have majority hashrate by the summer, I think it is something we who want to restore Satoshi's original mission look into.

It was an interesting idea.

What I liked, but don't know if it could work, was the fact that merged mining would be possible.
This could help mitigating attacks.

Yes I agree. That was something I hadn't thought of before.
