Have many Coinbase and CEX.io customers experienced troubles recently?

Fri Dec 23, 2016 1:39 pm

I'm a customer of both of these exchanges and recently I've been having trouble getting money into them... especially Coinbase...

The problems I am experiencing are not at the fault of the exchanges themselves... the problems are gettting the money from my Fiat bank into either of these exchanges...

It seems as though SEPA, SWIFT or Visa are continually having glitches... it's not consistent as some of my payments do go through but there's definitely an increase in glitches that I've not experienced before

To give you an example, I started a transfer of a sum of money through SWIFT from my bank in the UK to Coinbase... 2 weeks later the money hasn't arrived... I've been informed that to find out where the money is I can instruct a "Trace" on the transaction AND the intermediary bank (Bank of Scotland) may issue a fee for doing this... its bonkers... they want to charge me to find out where they have made a mistake

This is just one incident... the others are varied and numerous... often when a regular card deposit into these exchanges has to be verified through VISA

I would like to know has anyone else noticed an increase in glitches in getting your money oiut of fiat and into crypto... and have these glitches increased recently or am I just having a little run of technical bad luck?

Is this the failings of the fiat banking system, incompetancy, or deliberate?

I've had some trouble with coinbase in the past, one of the main reasons I stopped using their services.

I would put my vote at incompetence. That's the only logical conclusion I made before switching over to other sites.
