The U.S. federal government is making substantial advances towards accessing encrypted smartphone data. If authorities get their way, it could lead to severe privacy implications for bitcoin users.

When Apple was tussling with the FBI over gaining access to the phone of the San Bernadino shooters, it seemed a bit fake. After all, aren't we talking about the same company who Snowden claimed gave the NSA a back door into the iMessage service?

That's pretty disturbing yet I can't really say that I am surprised.. As it seems like it was only a matter of time. But I'm sure we'll manage to fill whatever loopholes they might find and move on as per usual. I hope.
