Syncing the Monero Block Chain

So I took the leap and installed the full Monero on OSX today after watching Fluffy Pony's video. It looks like it will take less than two hours for everything to Sync.

I never paid much attention to Altcoins until Bitcoin wasn't allowed to scale by the current Bitcoin Core team.
Better privacy than bitcoin, and a development team who actually wants to scale to keep up with demand makes Monero sound very attractive.
Now we just need more merchants to accept it. For now, people can use it on games.bitcoin.com
Shapeshift automatically converts it to Bitcoin, but I suspect I'll be converting all if it back to Monero at this point.
I even spent quite a few Bitcoins buying Monero over the last week.

It is great to see that they have such an active dev team!
It would be very interesting to see how that stacks up against other crypto-currencies.

its been quite an impressive amount of work done even considering only the improvements upon the original Cryptonote base from which they started, history will probably consider Monero and their dev team as a grass-roots independent peer-reviewing and upgrading operation of the groundbreaking Cryptonote protocol. By marketcap and uniqueness/utility of codebase Monero is already in the top 3 after BTC and ETH, and Ethereum is blowing up as we speak, I hope Monero doesn't blow up but seeing how their dev team got the priorities right, Monero has everything to repeat the steps of Bitcoin.

ETH, XMR and BTC (under Bitcoin Unlimited) have been doing a fantastic job making headlines by putting their money where their mouth is.

A breath of fresh air for development, that's for sure!!!!!!!!!

I have left out other crypto-currencies as well like DASH who have been doing a fantastic job navigating through hiccups like Apple, my bad as there are too many to mention now!

The traffic to this forum is picking up heavy too, build your businesses and off to the races
